Recently played through the demo of this game and felt the need to make a topic about it...
Titan Souls is an upcoming indie game that defines itself as a cross between "Shadow of the Colossus" and "Dark Souls". Players assume the role of a nameless hero and must defeat each boss enemy encountered. Players die in one hit, but another interesting catch makes battles interesting; the boss characters also die in a single hit. This makes battles more hectic as players try feverishly to land a hit on the very elusive weak point of the boss characters, all the while avoiding attacks that would mean their own demise. To make matters worse (or better depending on how one looks at it) the main hero has taken only a single arrow with him to dispatch foes, but is able to call the arrow back to him should he fire and miss. Without an abundance of ammunition, landing the perfect shot while knowing that missing can mean death provides a satisfying rush to the skirmishes players find themselves in. Battles can last a few minutes or a few seconds depending on the skill of the player, and during my short time with the game I came find the games definition of itself to be fairly valid. The game is presented in a pixelated 2D art style with a top down camera, which is sure to be a lure for some players. If the game seems at all interesting to you, I recommend playing the demo as it's always good to support passionate indie developers. Unfortunately the full game will not be available until early 2015, but that doesn't mean one can't get a taste of the game to see if it interested them.
A simple google search can get you to the demo, simply search for the "Titan Soul Demo, Prototype"
